Turkish Machinery Industry looks at U.S. expansion

gears-industrial-machineryFollowing a recent expansion into the European market The Turkish Machinery Group (Ankara, Turkey), also known as MAIB, seeks a U.S growth. The organization will exhibit at the Motion, Drive & Automation (MDA) North America trade show, co-located with IMTS. MAIB will be present in Booth E-5072 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, September 8-13.

According to Adnan Dalgakiron, president of the organization’s board, the “Turkish machinery sector is increasing its export share in the Turkish economy and exports. Turkey’s machinery exports, which were US$3.0 billion in 2003, reached US$14 billion in 2013. The ratio of exports to imports in the machinery sector has gone up from 29 percent to 45 percent in the last 10 years.”

As Turkey currently exports to more than 200 countries, including some in Latin America, MAIB says the country’s machinery industry is poised for growth in and cooperation with the United States. Through targeted advertising and participation in IMTS 2014, Mr. Dalgakiron says that the organization “aims to expand awareness about the quality as well as the recent technological developments in Turkey’s machinery sector and the benefits of a strategic joint U.S.-Turkey partnership.”
