Proposing excellent and reliable products and solutions, fruit of an endless research and development process, Yaskawa operates in compliance with the strategy of the constant improvement of productivity and of efficiency quality in all different application sectors.
Multinational Japanese Group, with European headquarters in Germany and Italian branch in Turin, Italy, Yaskawa Electronic Corporation is one of the major global producers of robots with Yaskawa Motoman brand (over 230,000 robots installed worldwide). The wide range of robotic solutions supplied cover all sectors and applications, from arc welding to assembly, to coating, dosing, cutting, material handling, packaging, palletizing, deburring, polishing and spot welding. In the welding sector Yaskawa proposes innovative solutions making it rank among the most reliable partners on the market, clear reference company for robots, drivers, drives, inverters, remote I/O, HMI interfaces and PLC. In the majority of markets, Yaskawa can boast a solid local presence, at the base of a constant activity in collaboration with its customers, with the target of providing them with long-term competitive advantage by supplying innovative, cutting-edge technological solutions characterized by great reliability and user-friendly implementation and use, fruit of the experience and the know-how gained in the various industrial sectors.
Yaskawa Italia: targets and prospects
Yaskawa Italia, which is headquartered in Turin and relies on a second local unit in Modena, can historically propose excellent-level and highly reliable integrated solutions in the welding market to satisfy all welding typologies. In this sector the growth target for the next two years is ambitious: relying on the support of the German headquarters and of the Japanese parent company, Yaskawa Italia will be able to improve the range and to further widen the commercial offer on the Italian market. The active connection with the European Horizon 2020 Programme will allow it to represent a safe reference economic partner for its customers on the territory. All proposed robots already own the structural and performance characteristics in line with the targets that the EU strongly asks to the industrial players and that it will finance until 2020 through targeted intervention lines. Thanks to the choice of positioning itself as facilitator of information and contacts, Yaskawa customers’ investments in the packaging sector will be even more advantageous.
In the constant evolution and development of the Yaskawa range, the product novelty that arouses liveliest success in the welding field is represented by the solution composed by MA1440 robot/DX200 control/RL350 generator RL350. Absolute innovation for Yaskawa in the European and Italian market, it stands out for the high motion precision, the almost total reduction of sprays and the total customization of welding parameters. Other important product novelty is the welding gun called Light Welding Gun, fully designed and manufactured in Italy, which will be presented to the world market on the occasion of Automatica Trade Fair in Munich. Since 2014 Yaskawa has been proposing itself as customer partner for the Total System Solution that makes it a renewed player on the market. Yaskawa Italia can offer all the products to present a complete solution to final customers, from the generator to manifold control software. Yaskawa is focusing its Research and Development just on the software and professional training ambit, with the aim of making robots increasingly user-friendly for the technical personnel. This is the area in which Yaskawa will invest in next years, pursuing even more strongly the software integration for the controls and robots themselves. In this field it has established collaborations with schools and educational institutions, in order to spread the «culture of robotics and of industrial automation», giving the opportunity to the course attendants to make direct experiences in the classrooms. The scheduled courses will offer different levels of in-depth studies and will be delivered according to the targets to be reached.
Total service and support to customers
Yaskawa Italia can follow its customers in time through its internal TCS (Total Customer Support), providing a complete support in all purchasing, installation, starting up, maintenance and after sale service phases. All TCS services can be thoroughly analysed in net through the link http://www.motoman.it/it/supporto/download/, where it is also possible to download the modules for the intervention request. The customer support starts with the training course of the company’s internal personnel about the use of the robot and of all of its controls. The customer can register online its robot with few simple steps (at the link http://docs.yaskawa.eu/htdocs/registration.html) to gain access to a series of advantageous services. Even if Yaskawa Motoman robots are renowned for their very low maintenance needs, the customer has at disposal programmed maintenance plans able to enhance the robot productivity and, consequently, the investment profitability in time. It is possible to activate a 24 hours/7 days service contract for the prompt intervention of Yaskawa technicians in case of machines downtimes on job orders characterized by three shifts, or the remote diagnosis service that allows the problem-free management of the plants in whatever time. The robot repairs, the programming and the interventions on the spot can be entrusted to the widespread net of technicians covering the whole national territory. Finally, another great advantage for Yaskawa customers is the availability of an original spare part warehouse to satisfy all spare part needs in short times.
2014 spring events
In spring 2014 Yaskawa took part, with significant novelties, in various outstanding events, starting from the A&T Exhibition in Turin (16th -17th April 2014) in which it was presented in European preview the integrated arc welding solution composed by the MA1440 robot, the DX200 control and the RL350 generator, all produced by the same partner. This solution is successively proposed also at the Welding Day, scheduled in Modena on 13th June 2014. In Germany, at the Automatica trade fair in Munich (3rd -6th June 2014) it will be presented the Light Welding Gun, fully designed and produced with Italian know-how. At the A&T Exhibition in Turin, by the E/A stand, they will distribute the invitations for the Welding Day in Modena and for the Automatica Trade Fair in Munich.
