Just in time for Fakuma 2014, 23rd International trade fair for plastics processing, the leading manufacturer of standard parts Meusburger is expanding its tried and tested H 1000 clamping system with a system for clamping NF inserts. Any number of the clamping supports with zero point centring can be fixed into the bores of the base plate. The fitting holes and threads can be cut directly into the insert, which ensures repeatable accuracy in the μ range. In addition, the clamping spigots enable fast positioning and removal of the workpieces without tilting them.
All five sides of the insert remain free from interfering contours, which allows easy machining. The distance between insert and H 1000 can be increased in 40 mm steps using the H 1030 centring support extensions. Meusburger also provides clamping spigots with an undersized fitting diameter for machining before hardening. From mid-October, the new clamping system will be available from stock.
