Condat Corp_manufacturing site_Saline MichiganA wholly owned subsidiary of the French international Condat Group (created in 1854), Condat Corporation started production in 1996 following the acquisition of Petro-Lube, based in Whitmore Lake, MI. In 2000, a new state-of the-art manufacturing facility was established on a green field site in Saline, Michigan. Since that time, the company has grown gradually through acquisitions in the wire drawing business (specific business sectors from Richards-Apex, Henkel and Wirelube Research) and has seen expansion of its production unit to meet the ever increasing demands of its customers.

Initially concentrated on wire drawing lubricant production, Condat Corp has since developed its business by expanding into metal working, cold heading and hot forming (forge and foundry) lubricants. Today, Condat Corp supplies an extensive range of lubricants covering a wide variety of industrial markets.

Condat’s philosophy has always been to improve the performance and safety of its lubricants mainly focused on customer satisfaction. Working in conjunction with its many customers, partners, and suppliers has allowed Condat Corporation to reach this milestone in history.

The social dimension of the company, combined with the extensive experience of its parent company (more than 160 years), makes its choices primarily based on a ‘built to last’ philosophy. Brad Sulkey, General Manager, further clarifies to say: “Over the years, Condat Corp has built a friendly and engaged team of experts, who listen to the needs of the customer. Thanks to synergies within Condat group, the company has found an economical model based on maintaining a manageable size, providing local service and offering high performance & environmentally responsible products”.

With a well-staffed R&D department, Condat is researching tomorrow’s lubricant solutions and offers truly innovative alternatives to standard product offerings. Attentive to customer’s needs, CONDAT develops lubricants not only to meet the high performance standards required in today’s industry, but also carefully considers environmental impact while meeting or exceeding governmental requirements.

A pioneer in the development of environmentally friendly lubricants, the company offers:
• Wire dry drawing lubricants with low or zero Borax
• Vegetable based metalworking coolants
• Chlorine free cutting & drawing oils
• Waterless forging lubricants / effervescent tablets
• Innovative ‘Green’ dual purpose cold heading oils
• Biodegradable fire resistant hydraulic fluids

Condat’s objective is to provide the safest products without any compromise on performance.

Due to its continued market share development, Condat Corporation is planning the next stage of its operations expansion project, commencing mid-2016. These improvements will include a doubling of the Laboratory facilities (to better serve customers’ needs), followed by planned expansion of the manufacturing and warehousing capabilities, due for completion in 2017.
