gear-forum-parmaThe second edition of Gear Forum will take place  from 25th to 26th March 2015 in Parma in combination with MECSPE. The Gear Forum is an international appointment where opinion leaders, foreign buyers and the most important suppliers of gears will meet in order to talk about the future of the market.

The actors of this edition will confront with the application sectors of the transmission systems and the interventions will be moderated by professor Carlo Gorla from Polytechnic Institute in Milan (mechanical engineering department and technical director of Organi di Trasmissione -transmissions instruments-): “The sector of power transmission with gears is continuously evolving – explains professor Gorla – concerning both performances and efficiency, and production technologies. The second edition of the Gear Forum will be the chance to get a state of the art about these subjects made by experts known at International level, and to present a review of the most interesting technological news with the direct participation of their suppliers.”

The two days of Gear Forum days will be scheduled as follows. On Wednesday 25th March, the morning will be dedicated to the participation of the Scientific-Technical Committee and the afternoon to the development of application cases in different sectors by the big players of the divisions: wind, aeronautic, helicopter, automotive, agriculture, naval, industrial, heavy industry, soil handling and energy. On Thursday 26th March, the Gear Forum within MECSPE (26th-28th March 2015) will be an Excellence Square, where will be presented the most innovative transmissions solutions used within the following sectors: aeronautic, agriculture, automotive, energy, wind, heavy industry, manufacturing industry, soil handling and naval. In the area and the exhibitors’ booths there will be production chains showing at the trade show the different phases of the gears machining.

“Taking part in the last edition of the Gear Forum as a sponsor – explains Dr. Parolin from Breton – revealed to be particularly interesting and allowed us to introduce into the market a new complete and convincing suggestion for the creation of gears with a more innovative technology, composed by the Gear Design module, developed in partnership with KissSoft, that permits the generation of surfaces with accurate and locally adjustable toothings, with a very high precision. Such solution is also equipped with a multitouch operator panel that, inspired by tablets, allows a guided machining of the toothing and makes the machine operator fully autonomous.”

This is only one of the many initiatives that will be scheduled, that show how MECSPE intends, also for the next edition, to develop projects addressed to a manufacturing sector such as the gears one, allowing the division companies to present their best suggestions and to get in touch with a privileged visitors’ target (31,625 visitors during the 2014 edition, whereof the 80% with a decision-making role).

Let’s take a look at numbers of 2014 edition: 31,625 visitors, 1,087 exhibitors, 16 Demonstrative Units, 15 Theme Districts, 7 trade shows, 9 Excellence Squares, 13 conferences and more than 90 mini-conferences organized by companies, universities and research institutes.
