At EuroBLECH 2018, the metal saw and storage technology specialist KASTO Maschinenbau will be showing how the storage of flat goods can look in the era of Industry 4.0. The company will show KASTOecostore tower storage system in action. The special advantages of the system are its low space requirement, high storage density, flexible clamping and fastening and short access times. KASTO will also be presenting a new possibility for remote diagnosis: With KASTO VisualAssistance, users can send live videos to KASTO service experts via tablet, smartphone or smart glasses and receive visual assistance and information in real time in case of troubleshooting or maintenance work on their machines and systems. Depending on the design, the KASTOecostore can hold sheets, pallets and other flat goods up to 1,524 millimetres wide and 4,000 millimetres long. The system height can be up to eight metres. It can be selected to match the user’s requirements, and the same applies to loading heights. Users can define up to three different heights between 50 and 950 millimetres per storage system. This ensures a particularly high storage density, and the tower construction makes optimum use of the available vertical space. The load carriers, automatically stored and retrieved, are lifted to the optimum loading and unloading height with a hoist. An additional lifting device such as a forklift truck is not required for cassette removal. This ensures short access times and an ergonomic working method.
