PrintNasmyth Group continues expanding internationally. Nasmyth Group acquires business and assets of California-based Technical Metal Finishing Inc (TMF) to create Nasmyth TMF. The company is leading supplier of precision engineering products and services worldwide with a long-established business, that offers a range of metal surface finishing capabilities, including precision masking, anodising and chemical film coatings, passivation, painting and non-destructive testing.

These processes complement those offered by Nasmyth Group’s four metal surface finishing businesses in the UK providing precise, aerospace industry and Nadcap-approved treatments for metals.  The ability to address the requirements of major US aerospace companies through the provision of such processes makes Nasmyth TMF a valuable addition to the comprehensive capabilities that Nasmyth Group already has in these technologies.

Chris Sosa, Nasmyth TMF’s General Manager, commented:  “There are numerous opportunities offered by this acquisition and the establishment of Nasmyth TMF. These range from technology transfers in both directions, through expansion resulting from the introduction of new customers, to the further development of new processes and the funding of future growth. The combined resources of Nasmyth Group and the Nasmyth TMF team have the strength to turn customers’ metal finishing problems into solutions and to provide on-going production of high quality finished products”.

Craig Hanriot, the former owner of TMF, will be working with the global Nasmyth team to identify and develop new metal finishing opportunities in the USA, Europe and Asia.Peter Smith Chairman and CEO Nasmyth
