NewCO2Fuels is developing a revolutionary and commercially attractive system to convert CO2 and water into synthetic fuels or chemicals. The system uses excess heat from energy intensive industries to drive the process and its technology is based on research conducted at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. It have recently secured additional funding from its existing shareholders, Greenearth Energy from Australia.
During the last months NewCO2Fuels has successfully completed testing its small scale prototypes which demonstrated that the technology can be efficiently implemented into industrial apparatus, that product realizing the technology is cost effective and can be successfully commercialized.
