The Italian company Sorma is introducing significant enhancements to Osawa range of high performance drilling and milling product families. Key focus on the HPU drills, a new generation of carbide coated drills, able to deliver high performance either in case of mass production and in case of small batches and different work piece materials. The special “S” geometry and wider chip pockets allow an excellent chip evacuation; the straight edge profile and the 45° corner chamfer edge allow increased toughness even with higher feed rate and with very abrasive work-piece materials, resulting in a longer tool life.
In milling, the HF EVOlution product family becomes the most comprehensive range of variable helix and unequal pitch endmills for universal use available in the market, thanks to the addition of new lines including extra short corner radius, long endmills for trochoidal milling smooth cut for reduced cutting forces and the enhancement of the ALU range for machining of Aluminum.
