Axalta Coating Systems, a global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, plans to roll out globally its Colour Experience Rooms, which are designed to present and to promote the company’s innovative powder coatings technologies. The success of two recently-opened Colour Experience Rooms in Belgium and Poland have led Axalta to commit to opening several further facilities, with the possibility to extend the concept in future.

Axalta’s Colour Experience Rooms offer a unique colour experience. The facilities surround guests with an inspirational range of more than 1,500 colours, textures, gloss levels and special effects, each of which have been developed by Axalta to meet modern industry requirements and to achieve specific levels of performance and appearance.

European designers and architects who have already used the Rooms seeking inspiration for projects, can instantly view sample panels of different colours and finishes, which help to deliver a tangible impression of the effects.

Frank De Cock, Axalta’s Regional Sales Director and Marketing Communications Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, says: “Axalta’s Colour Experience Rooms are the convergence of colour science, powder coating technology and design aesthetics. A guest can take their time, and in most cases they leave happy with what they have selected. Our experts are of course on hand for any support, whether that’s finding the right colour scheme or discussing the technical suitability of a coating for a project. Many guests have returned on more than one occasion as they have seen the value it brings in completing their design.

Axalta’s first Colour Experience Room was open in February 2016 in Lummen, Belgium, and was followed by the second room in Łódź, Poland, that opened its doors to customers in May 2017.

Axalta Colour Experience Rooms are complemented by COLOUR it, a web-based tool developed by Axalta to assist in the design process. Whilst COLOUR it uses digital colour rather than true colour panels, it’s another invaluable resource for initial styling concepts that can then be seen in reality in the Colour Experience Room.
