Founded in 1957, FAR s.r.l. is a family-owned business specialized in the production and distribution of high-technology articles for fastening. Highly specialized employees supported by 2 automatic warehouse systems and semi-robotised packaging units in a 14.000 sqm-plant – based in Bologna – ship daily towards more than 70 countries in the world a great varieties of blind rivets, blind rivet nuts, tools and semi-automated solutions, strictly 100% manufactured in Italy. One of the core competencies of FAR in-house research team is the development of high-quality technical solutions for blind rivet installations such as the new RAC 172, designed for setting structural blind rivets in steel and stainless steel, and other high performance rivets in Ø6 and 6,4 mm by providing a force of 22725N and a stroke of 19,5 mm. As complementary product of the high-performed universe, FAR launched the structural blind rivets TAMP AP INOX, available in Ø6.4 mm, characterized by a high and constant resistance to corrosion and cutting on various thicknesses. The distinctive feature of this product is its shear strength, thanks to the consistent presence of a medium carbon steel nail in the cutting area that makes this structural rivet particularly suitable for applications requiring high vibration resistance, such as industrial ventilation and equipment, heavy transport vehicles, locking systems for renewable energy.
